About Mirador Leaders
Our purpose
Often, the key to healthy change is a humble leader—one who embraces their strengths and weaknesses and boldly steps forward. Such leadership drives essential organizational shifts, fosters personal growth for the leader and those around them, and creates lasting transformation. This embodiment of leadership is at the heart of everything we do.
Our mission & vision
We envision a world of renewed and inspired leaders who bring out the best in themselves and others - thriving in healthy teams and leading impactful change in their organizations and communities.
Our values
We employ a team approach focused on empowering you for long-term effectiveness.
Team Approach
We operate as a team, bringing the wisdom, skills, and strengths of experienced leaders to each project. We collaborate with you.
Empowerment
We serve alongside current leadership in ways that develop individuals, teams, and the organization. We focus on meaningful change.
Long-term Effectiveness
We simultaneously focus on what you do and who you are as you do it. We measure success by your ability to progress when our involvement ceases.
Fulfilling these values on a project also requires the engagement of the client. We desire to serve people willing to show up with authenticity, humility, courage, curiosity, and compassion. We love working with organizations willing to do the hard work, and have seen it lead to miraculous results.
Mirador Leaders origin story
Reflection that renews
A demanding season of leadership left me emotionally tired and anxious about the challenges still to come. After work one day I headed out on a hike in the hills close by.
After an uphill hike that began to physically exhaust me, I came upon a lookout area with a 180-degree view of my city. As I stopped to rest and enjoy the view, I began to reflect upon the larger perspective before me.
To the right, I saw my home, a place where I hadn’t been much due to the long hours at work. I began to think about my wife and how I longed for more time together. I began to think of the life-giving activities we could enjoy amidst the challenges.
To my left was my workplace. As I looked at our offices, I thought of my colleagues and reflected on what they were experiencing. I began to see my work challenges within the context of the larger organizational dynamics.
To my right, I saw the restaurant where I periodically met with a mentor. This person cared about me succeeding at work but more importantly cared about me personally and supported my success in life. I began to consider new questions I wanted to explore over our next breakfast meeting.
That much-needed time of reflection revealed new perspectives which would eventually lead to transformational changes at home, in my work and with the people around me.
Every leader needs periodic times to step back and reflect on their life within the bigger picture. These moments can inspire new perspectives and lead to transformational changes. At Mirador Leaders, we’re here to help you experience precisely that.
